Ohio Bird Conservation Initiative

The Ohio Bird Conservation Initiative is a collaboration of non-profit groups, businesses, state and federal government agencies, and citizens that are participating in or are interested in bird conservation for the state of Ohio. We have come together for one main purpose – to ensure the conservation and effective management of birds in Ohio. Many of OBCI’s priority bird species rely on forests in various successional stages. OBCI works with local and regional partners to educate land managers of public and private properties on how to manage forests to improve bird habitat, including having ample early successional or young forest available for birds to use.
